On August 3rd, Marbella hosted an unforgettable evening at Finca de la Concepción to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Gala Dinner organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). With a record-breaking 682 attendees and over €250,000 raised, the event reaffirmed its place as one of the most impactful charitable events in Spain.
At ARK Architects, we were honored to take part in this milestone celebration, where solidarity, hope, and generosity came together in support of the fight against cancer. We are especially proud to have received a recognition award as one of the official sponsors of the Gala—an acknowledgment that deeply reflects our ongoing commitment to social responsibility and meaningful local initiatives.
The evening, hosted by Eva Ruiz and Poty Castillo, featured standout performances by Modestia Aparte, Conchita, DJ Kike Supermix, magician Jorge Blass, and Mago Yunke. One of the most emotional moments of the night was the presentation of the “The Fighter” award to actor Sergio Peris-Mencheta, recognizing his courage and for helping to break the stigma around cancer through his personal story.
Guests enjoyed a high-end dinner curated by Derraíz (Grupo Gorki), a charity auction featuring rare and exclusive items, and what has become one of the most important raffles in Spain, with over 300 prizes donated by supporting companies. The evening closed with a stunning drone light show by Umiles, which painted the AECC logo in the night sky as a tribute to four decades of compassion and progress.
