ARK Architects has been awarded the GOLD Prize at the 2025 Architecture Madrid Awards (AMA) in the category Residential Design – Professional Award for Villa TAI, a project designed by Manuel Ruiz Moriche, Creative Director and Co-Founder of the studio.
The awards ceremony took place in Madrid in October 2025, following a selection process that opened on January 1 and concluded with the official announcement of the winners on September 30.
A distinction that celebrates excellence across the industry
The AMA Awards have become an essential meeting point for architects, designers, builders, developers and artisans. With a comprehensive “360-degree” approach, the awards recognise all professionals involved in the life cycle of a project—from its earliest concept on paper to its final materialisation.

Villa TAI: an ode to the inhabited landscape
Villa TAI embodies one of the studio’s most profound and poetic visions: an architecture born from the landscape, integrating into it with respect, balance and authenticity.
It does not impose itself; it emerges from its surroundings, woven with threads of nature, light and silence. Resting on the hillside like a leaf floating on water, it blends seamlessly with the serenity of the golf course and the vastness of the Mediterranean.
Every line, material and shadow has been conceived with conscious intent—a dialogue with the land, becoming an active part of the landscape.
Sustainability is not an accessory; it is the starting point. Villa TAI embraces a bioclimatic approach where orientation, vegetation, natural light and high-efficiency systems—including heat-recovery ventilation, aerothermal energy and photovoltaic power—create a living experience deeply connected to its environment.
Across its three levels, expansive glass façades dissolve the boundaries between inside and out. By day, the spaces breathe horizon and greenery; by night, they offer a serene contemplation of sea and sky.
The architecture adapts to the topography with humility, reminding us that true architecture does not transform nature—it coexists with it.
